It is often felt that we as a Church look to Easter as the most important time within the church year, and that we cover the principal moments of Easter (Palm Sunday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter Sunday) rather well, but we tend to gloss over or totally ignore the events that happened during the rest of Holy Week, thereby missing out on the whole story; the passion, the drama and tension that helps to reveal the love and glory of God.

It is our aim this Holy Week to enable all to experience this urgency by publishing a part of the story from the gospels, supported by a short commentary here in ‘real time’, at the time of day it is reported to have happened.

We hope to set all the events of Holy Week and Easter into a fast-paced, news-hungry hard reality of a city, to get the pace of the story and the urgency of the Gospels into our thinking.
